Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the EvdriveNG rider app, the EvdriveNG Driver app or our website. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. What EvdriveNG is
EvdriveNG Ltd provides a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers of electric vehicles in Lagos. Drivers are not employees or agents of EvdriveNG; each driver provides the ride service to the rider directly.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate details.
- Your account is verified by a one-time code sent to your phone. Keep your phone and codes private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person. Do not share or transfer your account.
3. Booking and fares
- A rider sets a pickup point, a destination and the fare they offer. A driver may accept the fare or make a counter-offer. The fare is agreed only when both sides accept it in the app.
- The rider pays the agreed fare directly to the driver, by bank transfer or another method the driver accepts. EvdriveNG does not collect fares from riders.
- Tolls, waiting or changes to the route agreed during the trip are between the rider and the driver.
4. Cancellations
- A rider can cancel before the trip starts and will be asked to choose a reason.
- If a driver cancels, the rider is told in the app and can request another ride.
- Repeated cancellations, or cancellations used to avoid paying, may lead to account restrictions.
5. Drivers
- Drivers must pass EvdriveNG vetting, hold a valid licence, keep their vehicle roadworthy, insured and registered, and comply with Lagos State and Nigerian transport law.
- EvdriveNG charges drivers a platform commission on completed trips, deducted from the driver's prepaid wallet balance. Drivers top up the wallet through Paystack. The current commission rate is shown in the Driver app before you go online.
- Vehicle financing, where a driver arranges it, is a separate agreement between the driver and the financing institution. EvdriveNG is not a party to that agreement.
6. Conduct and safety
Riders and drivers must treat each other with respect. Harassment, discrimination, violence, carrying illegal items, damaging the vehicle, driving under the influence, or using the platform for fraud is not allowed. Report a safety issue in the app or on +234 704 096 1014. In an emergency, call 112 first.
7. Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used for fraud. You can close your account at any time by emailing info@evdriveng.net.
8. Our liability
We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that a driver will always be available or that the app will be free of interruptions. To the extent the law allows, EvdriveNG is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts of riders or drivers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act or other Nigerian law that cannot be excluded.

10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
